According to the similarity of the topics, the 12th International Conference on Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (MEDLIFE2026) and the 13th International Conference on Biology and Life Sciences (ICBLS2026) were jointly held at the Wyndham Garden Suzhou in Suzhou, China, from May 23 to 25, 2026. Experts and scholars from various universities and research institutions worldwide gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge issues in health sciences, life sciences, disease mechanisms, and drug discovery.
The conference featured keynote speeches delivered by Dr. Tianru Jin, Dr. Alex Kuo, Dr. Xiaoyang Qi, and Dr. Lin Ling.
Dr. Tianru Jin (Professor, Department of Physiology, University of Toronto, Canada) systematically reviewed the historical journey of GLP-1 from its discovery to drug development, with a focus on its extra-pancreatic functions—particularly in liver metabolism regulation, offering new perspectives for the treatment of metabolic diseases.

Dr. Alex Kuo (Professor, School of Health Information Science, University of Victoria, Canada) discussed the application of artificial intelligence in big data analytics for healthcare, exploring breakthroughs in AI-powered diagnostics, predictive analytics, and personalized medicine, as well as the role of large-scale healthcare data management in empowering clinical decision support systems.

Dr. Xiaoyang Qi (Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Cincinnati, USA) introduced a novel cancer immunotherapy strategy targeting the Hsp70-TLR2 axis to downregulate MerTK expression, thereby reversing immune tolerance and activating anti-tumor immune responses, offering innovative approaches to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

Dr. Lin Ling (Professor, School of Life Science and Technology, Southeast University, China) used Aedes aegypti as a model to reveal the molecular mechanism by which the miRNA-GABA signaling axis influences female mosquito reproduction through modulation of midgut homeostasis, providing new intervention targets for blocking mosquito-borne virus transmission.

The conference established two sessions based on the thematic relevance of the presentations. Scholars subsequently delivered brief oral presentations. The conferences also featured a Q&A session, where participating scholars actively engaged in in-depth discussions with the speakers, fostering a lively atmosphere of academic interaction.

Conference participants who bear a foreign passport may need to apply for a Chinese visa to visit China. Participants can apply for a visa at the Chinese embassy or consulate in the region where they live. To avoid any uncertainty, participants are advised to apply for the visa as early as possible, at least one month in advance.
For most attendees, it is easier to apply for a Tourist ("L") visa.
* For more information, please contact the local Chinese Embassy in your country.
The 240-hour visa-free transit is one of China’s visa exemption policies provided to eligible foreigners coming from selected countries.
Under the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, foreign travelers can enjoy a ten-day stay in certain Chinese cities without a visa, provided they come from 55 eligible countries, enter and exit China from eligible ports, stay within the allowed cities and regions, as well as satisfy other requirements.
The applicant must be a citizen of one of the following 55 countries that are eligible for the visa-free transit policy:
